Renato Reyes Finally Lands a Job as Casino Croupier Following Duterte’s Threat to Arrest CPP/NPA/NDF Legal Fronts
Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) Secretary General Renato Reyes Jr. made the right choice when he decided to look for a decent job that could augment his familiy’s financies.
President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday said he would order the arrest not only of the communist rebels but “all legal fronts” aiding the Left.
“We will treat you as criminals; we will arrest you, including legal fronts. [The] legal fronts helping to topple government and sow terror,” Duterte said in a speech before the troops here.
Feared that Reyes might land inside the jail, and his Bayan will be disbanded, he started looking for a legitimate job.
His extensive background in video karera helped him land a job in one of the country’s largest casinos – the Solare Resort & Casino in Parañaque.
Solare hiring manager Hernani Faraon said Reyes is a big addition to their already highly-skilled employees, citing his background as video karera operator for more than a decade.
“He will start working as a croupier on Monday”, Faraon said.
A croupier or dealer is someone appointed at a gambling table to assist in the conduct of the game, especially in the distribution of bets and payouts. Croupiers are typically employed by casinos.
Reyes has been criticized before for not having a real job and spending his entire time doing street protest against the government.
“Siguro naman ngayon mananahimik na yong mga kritiko natin.”, Reyes said.
