Baguilat’s Hong Kong Trip Cancelled after Aide Nabbed with 6 Capsules of Ecstacy at NAIA

Ifugao Congressman Teddy Baguilat caught in an unlikely problem when his aide was nabbed by airport police on Sunday morning while preparing to board on a Hong Kong flight.

37 year old Rodolfo Piambre, Baguilat’s personal assistant, was detained by airport authorities after x-ray machine found something suspicious in his jeans’ left pocket. When narco-expert examined the capsules, it was found out that it contained high amount of methylenedioxyphenethylamine and amphetamines – both chemicals used to manufacture the illegal ecstasy.

Ecstasy is the common name for MDMA, a combination of methylenedioxyphenethylamine and amphetamines. It is a central nervous stimulant that can affect not only the brain, but also different systems of the body. Ecstasy is one of several prohibited drugs in the Philippines and other nations who have strict policy on illegal drugs.
