Enrile Warns Trillanes of Possible Risks on Attacking Duterte
Former Senator Juan Ponce Emrile warns Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV of “unimaginable problem” if the later continue his “baseless” attacks against the President and his family”
Speaking with reporters on Thursday, the veteran lawmaker and former defense secretary said that regardless of your position in the national government, you are not protected if you attack the sitting president, especially if your vases are just rumors.
“I don’t know where he get his alleged evidence against the President but whether it is true or not (the Duterte has ill-gotten wealth), this is not the right time to discuss. Kung gusto niya hintayin niyang matapos ang termino ni Duterte”, Enrile said.
“The senators and congressmen are busy doing their regular jobs and they have no time to deal with such rumors. Hindi siya mananalo. Wala pang nanalong kumalaban sa presidente unless the general public interfere”, Enrile added.
Instead, the former senator said that Trillanes should be ready once Duterte decide to dig those South China Sea issues involving his backdoor travels to China.
“Siguro yon ang dapat niyang paghandaan dahil pag nagkamali siya ron, pwede siyang matanggal bilang senador though impeachment, at mahihirapan siyang manalo ulit”, Enrile said.
Enrile and Trillanes went on word war before after then then senior senator asked Trillanes what were his travels all about.
Enrile accused Trillanes of conniving with Chinese officials resulting to the lose of Spratly Islands.
