Gabriela Calls on Women to Join NPA as “Men are Losing Balls”
Gabriela Women’s Party is apparently not happy with the increasing number of male members of New People’s Army who surrender to military.
Gabriela, one of political wings of the terrorist group, is alarmed over the deteriorating situation of the rebel’s propaganda system, and called on women to join the group as men are not reliable anymore.
Gabriela Rep. Emmi de Jesus is not happy the President Rodrigo Duterte toured the rebel returnees inside the Malacañang last week, and call the event a political stunt.
“I am calling on women to go out and join our party. Men are becoming unreliable and we have to put things on our own hands”, De Jesus said on Friday.
Gabriela was also not happy with President Rodrigo Duterte’s latest “anti-women remark” that he delivered in an event at the Palace last February 7.
In his speech during his merienda with the former rebels, Duterte, in Bisaya, said that women, especially those who already have kids, should not join the New People’s Army (NPA). He then narrated how he would likely order soldiers to shoot female NPA members in the vagina to render them “useless.”
“Order bag-o ni mayor. Di lang daw mo patyon. Pusilon lang mo sa bilat arong —Ug wa’a na ma’y bilat, wa na ma’y silbi [There’s a new order coming from mayor. We won’t kill you. We will just shoot your vagina— so that… if there are no vagina— it would be useless],” Duterte said.
“Duterte’s latest nasty remark openly encourages violence against women, contributes to the impunity on such, and further confirms himself as the most dangerous macho fascist in the government right now. He has further presented himself as the epitome of misogyny and fascism terrible rolled into one,” reads her statement.
She added that women should come out and protect their rights by joining the New People’s Army.
