Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao and Palawan pawnshop, the country’s leading and most profitable “Pera Padala” (money transfer) provider, have agreed to do business for another ten years.

On Thursday, Moddy D struck a 10-year ₱100 million-peso endorsement deal with the company. The deal is considered to be the biggest endorsement deal in the history of Philippine advertising and dwarfed  Saharon Cuneta’s ₱20-million Spterferry deal way back early 90s. That deal was considered the biggest until yesterday.

Palawan Pawnshop Services (PPS) group of companies CEO Bobby Castro said Mommy D is the main reason why Palawan express is on the height of its success today.

Originally established as a business offering only pawn brokering, Palawan expanded its services to include money remittance known as Palawan Express Pera Padala.

Today, after more than 30 years in the industry, Palawan Pawnshop become the leader offering products and services such as international money remittance, foreign currency exchange, e-loading, bills payment and accident insurance in all of its branches in cities, municipalities and remote towns nationwide.

Mommy D becomes the highest paid product endorser in the next five years after the signing of contract, unless someone can beat her deal in the near future.

The company also extended PBA legend Benjie Paras’ contract to three more years for an undisclosed amount according to Castro.

Pacquiao and Paras are both brand ambassadors of the company for more than five years now.
