The 5-bedroom mansion, which is located along the national highway overlooking the Taal Lake, was constructed last 2009 for ₱7.8 million, fetched a stunning ₱19.8 million when it was sold last week, giving the Archbishop huge profit.

The Fil-Am couple who bought the house said they think the house is blessed because it was owned by an Archbishop so the cost was not really an issue for them.

Urban Real Estate Corporation, the agency that sold the house said the property is one of the most successful deals since their company started dealing with houses 3 years ago.

“It’s a expensive yet more than a dozen of customers lined-up because of the history and background of the house. The mere fact that it was owned by an Archbishop doubled its value”, real estate agent Dolores Platon said.

Villegas still owns another house in Tagaytay the agency declined to comment if it is also for sale.
The new owners also requested the Archbishop to give the house its last blessing before they relocate.
