Karma Yan: Ex-Wife on Koko’s Ouster as Senate President
Nearly four months after her marriage with ousted Senate President Koko Pimentel was annulled, former Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Jewel May Lobaton shows no sympathy to his embattled ex.
While still fighting her rights to visit her children, Lobaton on Thursday said she doesn’t care about her ex-political career anymore.
“Despite our irreconcilable family feud, I helped him during his campaign. That was enough for me. He is on his own. I don’t care and I don’t want to get affected. He plotted his own career and he failed”, Lobaton said.
Lobaton was in years of troubled marriage with Pimental and on January, the court finally released the decision to invalidate their marriage.
“I am officially single again,” beamed Jewel May Comenares Lobaton when asked for her reactions on reports that the Marikina City Regional Trial Court annulled her marriage to Pimentel.
Her only wish now was for Pimentel to allow her to see their two sons, but it seems the ousted Senate President is still bitter and won’t give her rights to see her sons.
Pimentel lost his position as senate president after fellow senator lost confident on him. He was replaced by career politician and long-time senator Tito Sotto.
“Pwede ring sabihing karma, but that’s it. I am not affected and never will be. I am happy to be single,” Lobaton said.
