Look: Ad Offering Job as Protester Posted on Craigslist Manila
A classified ad on Craigslist offering job as paid protester has caught the attention of many people before online.
The ad is the very first of its kind and whether the offer is real or not remains a mystery. We sent email applying for the job this afternoon but we only received an auto-response telling us to “contact the nearest Akbayan office”.
According to the ad, they (the poster) are a group of patriotic people who wanted to make this country better. It also said that they provide jobs to hard-working and uneducated people.
The ad offers P500 for every event but did not give details of what event (possibly protest).
The ad may be taken down once someone reported it as it has a shady content.
Craigslist has yet to reply after we asked if how many people have contacted the ad poster.
News that several “protest-for-hire groups actually exist begun circulating on social media lately after some 300 members of Kadamay left the group earlier this week.
