The plan of Liberal Party to celebrate President Rodrigo Duterte’s difficult moment was trashed after the president himself went live telling his detractors that he is alive and kicking.
On Friday, a source from the opposition group said that LP and other party-list groups were planning to have a special protest celebrating the alleged Duterte’s critical condition. The plan was supposed to be highlighted during the Ninoy Aquino Day but organizers were shocked when the President went online and responded to Joma Sison’s fake news.
Communist Party of the Philippines founding chairman Jose Maria Sison has said President Rodrigo Duterte has gone into coma, a claim branded by Malacañang officials as “absolutely false.”
Sison took to Facebook on Sunday evening to share what he allegedly knew about the President’s health.
The communist leader said those who saw Duterte during the national convention of his San Beda Law fraternity Lex Talionis Fraternitas on Saturday “reported that the darkness of his face had become aggravated from its appearance the other day and that his walk and handshake had become more unstable.”

Duterte also addressed communist leader Jose Maria Sison, among those who publicly claimed the President entered into a coma.
"Ang wish ko sa buhay, kahit wala kang silbi sa buhay na ito, mabuhay ka pa nang 1,000 years," he said. (My wish in this life, even if you have no use in this life, is for you to live 1,000 years more.)
Duterte again claimed that it was Sison who was suffering from a serious ailment and that he was "abusing the hospitality of the Netherlands." Sison has been living in exile in the Netherlands since the end of the Marcos dictatorship.
"Sa totoo lang, nagcomplain na rin ang Netherlands kasi labas-pasok ka sa ospital hindi ka naman nagbayad," said Duterte.
