Slipper Company Files Syndicated Estafa Against Robredo’s Campaign Team

The slipper manufacturing company that manufactured the Leni Robredo and Mar Roxas slippers three years ago filed syndicated estafa against the team of Vice President Leni Robredo and his campaign team.

You Foot, the company that was contracted to manufacture 1.8 million of slippers for Roxas and Robredo’s campaign said the Vice President has yet to pay the remaining P27 million despite repeated reminders.

You Foot’s lawyer Dalmacio Gravanto told reporters on Tuesday that his client is now claiming P55 million to cover all of the damages and legal fees.

“Malaki, malaki po ang epekto sa business dahil wala kang papaikuting pera eh. Pati mga suppliers naming hindi rin nabayaran so chain reaction kasi sya eh.” Gravanto said.

The case, which was filed in Manila City court, named Robredo, and six other people who served under her during her campaign period.

Gravanto said that former DILG Sec Mar Roxas was not included because he had no participation in the transaction.

He added that the total contract was P64.8M but Robredo’s team paid only P37.8M.
