PHIVOLCS Freed Thousands of Hostages After Government Releases P30B Ransom

It looks like the speculations of many people analyzing the situation came true after PHIVOLCS ordered people to return home.

Sino gagamit nuon?” Angela Atienza of Talisay, Batangas told GMA reporter on Monday.

According to several sources 3 days prior, the people working in the government in the higher level were just waiting for the budget to be released.

Walang maasahan kay Duterte”, another resident said.

Speculations about the delayed release of budget circulated 5 days ago after Phivolcs ordered an unnecessary evacuation on places not affected by the eruption.

People in Batangas are angry particularly to DOST official Renato Solidum for giving unreasonable orders. Dozens of thousands of people are still in the evacuation centers and the government still has no plan what to do with them as of press time.

“Malamang mauubos yang P30 bilyon na yan kami nasa evacuation pa rin,” Ramon Asuncion told reporters on Monday.
