The news broke out on Monday after lawyers tried to sort out Heffner’s legal papers and estates.
In his July 16 letter, Heffner set aside the money and planned to give directly to Duterte on January 21 when he visit the Philippines, but the plan was foiled when he suffered a fatal heart attack on September.

Duterte, a huge collector of Playboy magazine said Heffner visited him when he was still the Davao City Mayor 2 decades ago.

“He was impressed with my collection of classic Palyboy magazines. He promised me that when I become the Philippine president in the future, he would donate me some money,” Duterte said.
Although Heffner is dead, according to the American law, the money will still go to its intended beneficiary.

The donation is the first known fund coming from American businessman since Duterte spewed some uninteresting words against the USA.

The money will be a big help to continue the President's war on drugs.
