The warehouse where more than 50,000 PCOS machines are being watched closely by the PNP, and it was still puzzling for the police on how the two managed to enter and took the memory cards of more than 20 machines.

Although the memory cards have been copied by the Comelec for safe keeping, police suspects that the two knows something in there.

One of the suspects, Libona, is originally from Naga City and worked previously in the office of former Mayor and Interior Secretary Jessi Robredo, the late husband of Vice President Leni Robredo.

The two faces multiple charges including burglary, and if proven that they are guilty of destroying an election fraud related evidence, they will face heavier penalty.

The Supreme Court acting as Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) has already ordered the recovery of ballots from Camarines Sur.

Actual recount will start at early February according to Robredo’s lawyer Romulo Macalintal.
The police suspect that timing of the break-in as highly intentional with heavy motive as the recounting date approaches.
