Gruta is the very first known low-profile activist who made millions after the successful take-over of the Pandi Housing project by the Kadamay members on March 2017.

Although Gruta, who is now living with her family in a ₱10.5 million house in Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna, refused several times to sit in an exclusive media interview, a number of reliable sources who have deep knowledge about her acquired wealth, were able to connect the dots.

According to the consolidated and verified documents submitted by 27 different sources, Gruta was the real mastermind of the Pandi Housing Occupation.

In Pandacan where she spent most of her life, she organized 35 people who later helped her organized hundreds more from the neighboring areas. The original plan was not about occupying the Pandi Housing Project but to make a big “protesters-for-hire” group.

Having more than 350 loyal members at her disposal, Gruta contacted several leftist groups and started getting paid whenever there are protests. Her group becomes bigger in the process until on December 2016, she had around 750 people reportedly under her control while remaining low profile.
Since creating her “protest-for-hire” group on March 2016, Gruta has reportedly made more than ₱600,000 in less than a year, but her biggest deal was the take-over of Pandi Housing Project.
How Gruta Made Millions on Pandi Housing project

After words of mouth that Gruta’s group is making a living through protests becomes viral offline, many jobless people wanted to join. This gives her an opportunity to ask for a registration fee of ₱250 for every new member. On January 2017, Gruta’s groups recruited more than 2,500 new members giving her a gross income of at least ₱625,000.

By this time, Gruta has already made around ₱1.3 million since she started the group, while a dozen of her close associates made tens of thousands of pesos.

The Pandi Housing occupation was well-planned according to the consolidated sources, and more than ₱20 million from different sponsors (politicians and business owners) were spent. Gruta reportedly pocketed around ₱12 million from different politicians, business owners, and other non-government groups that are critical of Duterte’s administration.

Another source of Gruta’s income during the first phase of occupation was the registration fee from people who wanted to own a housing unit.

Government records vary but closest estimates say that at least 6,780 units were occupied by the group and since Gruta and her cohorts asked ₱500 for every person who wanted their name to be listed as registered Kadamay member, the money continued to flow netting Gruta more than ₱3.3 million.

Another source said that Gruta seems to have a special power not to be easily identified when problems occur and have excellent skills in putting herself undercover while making millions.

The consolidated documents also revealed that although she made millions, prominent leftist leaders like Renato Reyes Jr, Teddy Casiño, and others, didn’t know who Gruta is as she always asked different people to make business dealings for her. In short, Gruta outwitted the likes of Renato Reyes.

It is unclear how much the total amount of money the lady has made but the source said she is now living in an affluent community in Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

NUVALI is the country’s first and largest eco-city development, built on the principles of sustainable design. A project of Ayala Land, NUVALI is a 2,290-hectare mixed-use development that straddles the cities of Sta. Rosa, Cabuyao, and Calamba in Laguna.

Her former neighbors in her former Pandacan house have no idea where she is according to other investigative journalists who visited her former address.

As of presstime, Gruta’s family reportedly run a multi-million trading business in Biñan under her husband’s name.
